Information: visitors are given
information on a daily basis about shopping, restaurants, museums,
gorges, pathways, beaches, local feasts, the cultural events of the
Municipalities of Chania and of Rethymno, and about the customs of
the area.
Lending library: lends novels, travel
and historical books, books on the fauna and flora, guides and maps.
Cooking lessons: Roula organizes group
cooking lessons, but anyone interested can participate in the
preparation of the various meals served, or receive a specific
recipe.
Swimming pool: available 24 hours a
day.
Cleaning: three times a week.
Linen: fresh bed sheets and towels
twice a week.
Olive oil: the tenants of Kamares can
buy the organic olive oil of Madari intended for consumption.
Gardens: the fruits of the fruit trees
of Kamares are offered to the guests. In spring, there are plenty of
mulberries, greengages, oranges, lemons, apricots and almonds. In the
summer, there are medlars, plums, figs, grapes, water melons and
melons.
Vegetables are served with the meals to
the guests living at Kamares. Every morning, hand-made baskets
containing seasonal vegetables like tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers,
zucchini, eggplants, beans are laid on the breakfast table.
