Small two-storey
house with an entrance on the left of the inner arched courtyard, flooded with
jasmines and rosebays.
The ground
floor is painted ochre and tiled with white marble slabs, with a fireplace, a
separate kitchen area with hand-made wooden cupboards and work surface, and a
small staircase leading up to a loft with a double mattress and a window
opening at the height of the jasmines and looking out onto the mountains. A low
Turkish arch built inside with red firebricks separates the kitchen from the
private bathroom area, which was the open furnace of the house during the Turkish
Occupation. The bathroom disposes of a built-in shower room.
First
floor: a bedroom painted ochre, the colour of the sunset, with walls partly
decorated with Venetian stone arches. There are two antique iron single beds
and a hand-made wooden wardrobe. A small wooden staircase leads to the
veranda-terrace with a panoramic view.
A veranda
with director’s chairs, an iron table forged by Kostas, looking out onto the
mountain and the sea.
